Each cut is portioned by hand in Texas, vacuum-sealed, and flash-frozen the same day. You'll see the USDA grade shield on every package.

Everything goes into an insulated cooler with dry ice and ships FedEx 1 to 2 day. You pick the delivery date at checkout, and we don't ship into a weekend.

Straight to the freezer

It arrives frozen or partially frozen and cold to the touch. Thaw what you need in the fridge, a day for steaks, 2 to 3 for roasts. If anything's off, call us and we make it right.

Our Story

Five generations. One standard.

44 Farms has been in Cameron, Texas since 1909. Today we're known across the country for Black Angus genetics, and the steaks we sell are cut from that same program: all natural, USDA Choice or higher, never any added hormones or antibiotics.

Every steak is hand-cut with care in Texas by people who do this for a living, then vacuum-sealed, flash-frozen, and packed with dry ice so it shows up the way it left us.

1909

Five generations in Texas

44 Farms started in Cameron, Texas in 1909 and is still family-run. We're not a marketing company with a meat supplier. We're a beef company.

Added hormones or antibiotics

Never, ever. All natural Black Angus beef, USDA Choice or higher on every cut, Prime where it says Prime.

28

Days wet-aged, minimum

Every steak is aged at least 28 days, then portioned by hand in Texas, not run through a machine. That's why your ribeyes look like ribeyes.

Common Questions

Before you order

Will it arrive frozen?

Yes. Every order is vacuum-sealed, flash-frozen, and packed with dry ice in an insulated cooler. It should arrive frozen or partially frozen with everything cold to the touch. If it doesn't, call us at (254) 605-6444 and we'll make it right.

When do I need to order for Christmas?

Order by December 18 for delivery before Christmas. You pick your delivery date at checkout, and we ship FedEx 1 to 2 day so nothing sits in a hub over a weekend.

How long does it keep?

Up to 12 months in the freezer in the original vacuum seal. Once thawed, cook within 3 to 5 days.

How do I thaw it?

In the fridge, still sealed. Steaks take about a day; the smoked prime rib and tenderloin take 2 to 3 days. Skip the microwave and warm water.

Is a quarter cow a lot of beef?

About 80 pounds, individually sealed, so you only thaw what you're cooking. Plan on 5 to 7 cubic feet of freezer space. It feeds a family of four for roughly four to six months.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes. Add a free digital gift message at checkout, or a printed note in the box for $5. For multiple recipients, use our corporate gifting page and we'll ship to as many addresses as you need.

What if I'm not happy with it?

If you're not satisfied, neither are we. Let us know within 24 hours of delivery and we'll replace the order or issue a 44 Farms gift card. 100% guaranteed.
