Ingredients

  • 44 Farms All Beef Angus Franks
  • 8 Hot Dog Buns
  • 2 Tbs Mayonnaise
  • 1 lb 44 Farms Ground Beef
  • 1 c Diced Onion
  • 3 Tbs Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbs Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 Tbs Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) Tomato Sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) Diced Tomatoes

    Instructions

    1

Heat 1 Tbs. oil in large pot. Add ground beef and cook over medium high heat for 5 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to help break up ground beef to allow even browning. Remove from heat.

    2

Place ground beef in strainer over a bowl to allow excess fat to drain.

    3

Add the remaining oil (2 Tbs.) to pot and cook onions over medium heat for about 8 minutes. Cook until translucent and slightly golden. Add in spices and stir for 1 minute.

    4

Add Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and cooked ground beef. Simmer chili over low heat for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

    5

Brush the inside of buns with mayonnaise and sear over medium high heat until crisy, about 20-30 seconds.

    6

Grill or sear the hot dogs until lightly charred and heated through, about 3-5 minutes

    7

Place the cooked hot dog in bun and top with chili and other desired toppings.
